



Steve Winters is the Director of Planning & Inventory at SeaBear. Before joining SeaBear, he worked for Dri-Eaz Products as the Sr. Quality Engineer. Prior to joining Dri-Eaz, he served as the Director of Operations for Pro-Tech Services, Inc., located in Mukilteo, Washington, which designs, manufactures and markets sensors for the sleep study field. The sensors are used to detect sleep-disordered breathing, such as sleep apnea. The Operations department at Pro-Tech encompasses purchasing, stores, production and inventory control, and quality assurance/regulatory affairs. Since Pro-Tech’s products are medical devices, compliance to FDA regulations is mandatory. Pro-Tech is certified to ISO 9001 and is seeking certification to ISO 13485, the EC Medical Device Directive.
Prior to Pro-Tech, Steve was the Quality Assurance Manager at Paroscientific in Redmond, Washington. Paroscientific manufactures high-precision pressure transducers. Steve has worked in aerospace quality assurance at companies such as Sundstrand (now Honeywell) in Redmond, Washington and Lockheed Missile and Space in Sunnyvale, California. Additionally, he has worked for oil tool companies located in Texas and Louisiana in production and inventory control as well as purchasing. Steve grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and received his Bachelor's Degree in Management Science from Louisiana State University, where he also worked on an MBA.
For the last ten years, Steve has been a member of his homeowners association board of directors, serving two terms as president. He is married and lives in Kirkland, Washington, where he and his wife attend Woodinville Alliance Church. They own a boat that they moor in Anacortes and enjoy boating in the San Juan Islands and Canadian inland waterways. During the winter they enjoy snow skiing.
