New SW Washington Account Manager Named

Washington Manufacturing Services (WMS) announced today that Ken Haas will be the new Account Manager for Clark and Cowlitz County, beginning September 1.

“We are very happy that Mr. Haas has chosen to join us,” said Nigel Moore, Vice President of Operations. “Ken is an excellent manager and his strong background and overall manufacturing knowledge will make him an outstanding addition to WMS. With our success in SW Washington, we felt it was important to continue to have a strong presence in the area.”

Mr. Haas has been in engineering and manufacturing management for over 30 years, with a background in quality, product safety, conformity assessment, national and international accreditation programs and a thorough knowledge of the certification marks and other credentials that are needed to gain access to global markets. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and previously served as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award examiner, as well as a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the American Society of Quality.

He has served on the boards of the Association of Washington Business, the SW Washington High Tech Council, the Columbia River Economic Development Council and the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Haas’s goal is to utilize his 30 years of professional and business experience to serve the manufacturers in SW Washington to help make them more globally competitive.
