Through this challenge, she was introduced to the Theory of Constraints and Six Sigma. She was formally recognized as achieving excellent results. Inventory was reduced 70%, lead-time was reduced by 56% and quality was improved 75%. In 1998, she joined Precision Machine Works in Tacoma, as the Production Manager. Sarah was the internal TOC expert, project manager, and internal consultant in a TOC implementation. Lead-time and inventory were reduced 42% and quality was improved 40%.
