Six Sigma Solutions – offering training and support
Six Sigma is a measure of variability in a given business process. The objective of Six Sigma is to create breakthrough improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction. The breakthrough is not merely achieving very low defect rates; it’s achieving flawless execution. WMS offers you a unique, local Six Sigma program that prepares you to achieve Black Belt and Green Belt status while you complete a Six Sigma project at your company.
Is Six Sigma only for larger companies? Absolutely not. The potential cost savings are astounding for any company that implements Six Sigma. While larger companies are currently more likely to implement Six Sigma, small to mid-sized companies can benefit from Six Sigma by selecting sensible training options and incorporating the necessary support structure into their organizations. The initial costs of implementation can be quickly offset by careful selection of initial projects. If properly applied, the analysis tools can provide solutions to chronic problems relatively quickly.
WMS offers Six Sigma Green Belt training for Washington’s manufacturers. The course is split into two sections. Green Belt I concentrates on problem solving, project management and an overview of basic statistical tools. Green Belt II focuses on more advanced statistical problem solving tools. Taken together, Green Belt I and Green Belt II cover the recommended American Society for Quality (ASQ) body of knowledge.
The Black Belt training is organized around the four main points in the Six Sigma Roadmap: Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Candidates spend one week on each step, learning all the statistical tools they need to make sure their future projects earn their companies huge savings. Topics such as FMEA, Design of Experiments and Statistical Variation enrich the problem-solving and analytical skills of a Black Belt, who can then apply these tools to any aspect of a business. CEOs and senior executives also attend a two-day Leadership and Champion Training as part of the Black Belt course.
